Historic Presence in Calgary
The first services conducted by a Deputy were held in 1922, during a visit by the Rev. Donald Beaton. Local services and visits by Deputies continued regularly until the 1970s. In recent years, efforts have been made to re-establish the Free Presbyterian witness in Calgary. Services are now held periodically when Free Presbyterian ministers or ruling elders from Ontario visit the city.
