Historic Presence in Southern Ontario
The Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland has maintained a witness in Southern Ontario since 1902, when the Rev. Neil Cameron visited the region from Scotland as a Deputy.
The original mission encompassed Chesley, Lochalsh, Egmontville, East Williams, West Williams, Lobo, North Line Kincardine, the town of Kincardine, Brucefield, and Newton.
The people in these communities originally belonged to the Free Church of Scotland formed in 1843, which had a substantial presence in Ontario before the Union of 1861.
