Historic Presence in Ontario
The Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland has had a witness in Southern Ontario since 1902, when the Rev. Neil Cameron visited from Scotland as a Deputy. The original mission included: Chesley, Lochalsh, Egmont Ville, East Williams, West Williams, Lobo, North Line Kincardine, town of Kincardine, Brucefield and Newton. The people in these locations originally belonged to the Free Church of Scotland of 1843, which prior to the church union of 1861, had large numbers in Ontario.
